Thanks Mike, I am going to load up some of those with the RP wad, and drop the powder down a little as suggested. I load almost exclusively 2 1/2" cheddites now, so that will allow me to use up some of those wads I just don't use anymore. I will mark them to be used in my fluid steel Parkerss, Foxes, etc but not in my Damascus/composite barreled guns.
There have been several published loads here using GD, SG wads, and cheddite hulls, that although we cannot equate them gives me some perspective. |

So after a bit of tweaking I got a beautiful 7/8 oz load cutting down the 2-3/4” Cheddites, with “PERFECT” crimps I might add. Whoever said they didn’t need skiving was spot on. I can email pics if interested. Thanks all. These will make a great all around load for clays and grouse. |

What’s your email? I used 19.9 gns of Universal, SG16 wad. I trimmed the hulls to fit the load and they ended up measuring exactly 2-1/2” on the nose. |

Thanks, Troop, for the heads up. Cut it close this time. I was down to a handful or two of new 2 1/2’s. Just ordered a couple of bags.
Anyone know where to order Byrdog’s trimmer? |

This is my standard clays load. Clean burning, light recoil. |
