I was helping a farmer down the road trap vermin around his property when I found this inside one of the old barns. I don’t know anything about the brand or how old it might be so I offered the ole boy $5 for the box. He said I could just have it. From the looks of where the box was located I don’t thing it had been touched in a long time. I really like the artwork on older hunting ammunition boxes, they really stick out compared to today’s.
Anyway, just thought I would share.

Well, Remington bought Peters in 1934 so it should be older than that. But, being it’s newer plastic ammo and the box had a “keep out of reach of children” on it I’d say it was just a promo. Remington just likely used an old box design but I’ve been wrong before. |

Do they have 8 point crimps?
I just loaded a big batch of those hulls with the copper looking base and they have good plastic. My 209 sized primers fit. |

One source says Remington manufactured Peters as a separate line until the late 60s. On a side note, a story says the old Peter's factory will now house a brewery and apartments, so at least it won't be paved over for a parking lot. |

That style box with the "LONG RANGE GAME LOADS" first appear in the 1977 Peters Catalog and are still in the 1980 where may Peters catalogs run out. |

Gentlemen,
In the 50's and 60's we used them quite a bit, they were usually less money and worked very well.
