What sort of hunting (upland/waterfowl is done in the area? Last winter I purchased a Ithaca 37R 16 gauge from the area that has become my very favorite. It was carried much, shot some, and wiped off but never cleaned.26 inch barrel with a poly on it that was so gummed up it was froze. Must have set in a very hot closet because the butt plate and grip cap were curled like potato chips and shrunk way up. It's a 1941 gun with a factory 12 inch LOP. I'd just like to have some idea of how it might have been used. |

Upland hunting in that area would have been quail. You need to drive about 3 or 4 hours west for good pheasant hunting. Waterfowl runs the mix of teal, ducks, and geese. There is even some good sandhill crane hunting in that area.
It's probably taken everything from cottontails to squirrel to birds.
