Just doing my thing. Still working on my H&H 16, but I thought you all might like to see a few other recent before and afters:

Husky model 15 16ga hammer gun before:

Husky 15 after, with cheek piece re-sculpted, full color setter portrait added (first time I've done one in full color on a gun), grain lightly enhanced, checkering re-cut, and silvers pad added:

LC Smith 5E 16ga with extension added, before blending:

LC Smith after:

Husky 103A before 3/4" comb addition:

Husky 103 after, with toe line raised, checkering re-cut, re-case colored, reblued, and pad added::

WOW!!!
Such nice work Mark. I've got a German 16 hammer gun, ?? maker, sub 6 lb 30" cyl/F, steel barrels that I am tempted to send to you to make it into something special.
Imagine Western grouse/bird season has started, have you been out yet?

UncleDanFan,

I do know the owner of the 16 gauge #5 Gun is very happy with the job you did for him, one beautiful stock on the #5 gun now!

I thought the H&H went back because of issues???

On another note do you have a FFL or C&R lisence? I might have an offer you can’t refuse...

Thanks! I haven't been out after birds yet. I spent 4 days over last weekend bowhunting for deer. Saw a few bucks, but couldn't get close enough. Had tons of does close, about ten yards. Might go after grouse next week. The German hammer gun sounds nice. I saw one today I'm bidding on, with heavy Germanic engraving with fox and boar. I'm thinking a stag on the cheek piece would be way cool.

Nope, no issues at all. I'm still working on it, trying to decide to go conservative with it or go all out. Tough call...

And yes, I do have an ffl. I buy and sell a lot more lately, and now I'm starting to help sell entire collections for friends and family.

That’s amazing work. Could you raise the comb on a Sterlingworth ? Would you shave some off the bottom?

Yes and yes. Raising the toe line is easier to do on a pistol grip than a straight grip, since on a straight grip, you have to move up the inletting on the long tang as well, and re-cut the checkering. On a pistol grip, you just move up the toe line behind the grip. Easy peasy. It's a nice alternative to a butt transplant, and allows you to play with the grain pattern as well.

Incredible work. I knew you were an artist but your work on these 3 guns goes above and beyond. Can't wait to show all of my gun collecting friends these pictures. Thanks for posting.

Always great to see the before and afters on your marvelous work. I would really like to see images of the progression on the H&H from start to finish.

Good Hunting,
Mike

Hi Mark, I'm divesting myself of a few guns. Down to one project gun, a Belgian 16ga O/U. I'd like to send the gun to you. It needs some love, and I'm taking more of a shine to German guns lately. You can do what you wish with the gun.

My hope is that you will rehab and add to your personal collection. If it's not your thing, and you wish to sell it, I just ask you make something of a donation here to the 16ga forum after the sale.

Do I have permission to ship the gun? to:

Mark Everett Larson
8604 SE Duke St.
Portland, OR 97266

(Found address on your site)

I will abide by all applicable transfer laws, just let me know what I need to do.

Edit: removed email address

Thanks, Dean

Hi Dean,

Wow. I don't know what to say, other than THANK YOU, and yes, you have my permission to send it. I have an ffl, so you can send it to me directly. I will email you a copy for verification purposes. After I fix it up, I'll send you pics and we can talk about how best to make this a win win. Thanks again!
