One of my favorite memories is pass shooting sharptails coming into a block of cedars to pick the berries. That has to have been almost 50 years ago.

Great article by one of own members, Garhart Stephenson on how to attract Sharp Tails. Garhart again shows he is a real time hunter, his knowledge of fly Fishing is also top shelf. He could turn into the modern version of Burt Spiller by writing more great articles to eventually make into a fine sports book.

Outstanding stuff Garhart keep the great articles coming!

Thank you very much for the kind words everybody. I have been rather absent from here I confess. Nothing wrong over here at 16 ga., I just got a healthy dose of online burnout once the world spiraled into nonstop Covid obsession and political ranting, so I went fishing until fishing turned into hunting. I simply found I no longer had time for much online stuff, especially when most of it was less than uplifting.

I am just getting around to a long backlog of photos after shying away from the computer a lot. I will eventually get everything caught up and share stuff. It has been a long series of interesting experiences, some rather unique and even material for upcoming articles.

Currently I have a pheasant article in F-F-G and more stuff coming there. Sporting Classics will be publishing a duck story that many of you will like very much. Next week the UpChukar podcast with myself, Jay Beyer, and host Travis Warren will be out (we had a great time and broke new ground in Himalayan snowcock knowledge and hunting methods). Shotgun Life contacted me recently, so there will be online articles coming too. I will try to update folks when I know more.

A book? I'm slowly working on a chukar book (funding issues). Lately I have considered that someday a coffee table book about hunting birds in remote and rugged country (mostly snowcock, chukar, and blue grouse) might be interesting. Anyway, I'm going to call it a day. I am exceedingly tired after coming home to a cold house last night and staying up till 4 am repairing a furnace...not what I wanted after dragging the camper 500 miles but super grateful to be able to make the part I needed.
