Does anyone have an armslist account? I’m trying to contact someone with a gun for sale and the website is taking forever to approve/respond to my account- if so
Wine could just email a seller for me that would be awesome! |

I do not have an account there. But I’ve heard of numerous scams and deals gone bad on Armslist. Personally I’d never use it. |

Cohunter,
Have stayed away from this sight, to many bad reports for me to ever use it.
Be very careful.

I personally know somebody that got screwed over on this site and have heard many more similar horror story’s. I personally would never use it. Gun broker and guns international are much more reputable, I would check them out instead. Just my 2 cents. |

I have heard stories about guys "selling" guns that aren't theirs, ripping off photos from another site so as to support their offer to sell.
A good way to check against that is to right-click on the image, get the image's URL, then google that URL to see whether it shows up somewhere else. |

For what its worth, I have purchased a firearm off Armslist and a flat of shotgun shells. What Dave in Maine indicated in his post seems to be a fairly common scam on the site--often a gun is offered at a "steal" price, but a check of the photo will show it has been "borrowed" from another post on another gun sales site.
So, buyer beware. Face to face is best. Otherwise, contact the FFL who is suppose to ship the gun to you, check out their website, and talk to the seller at length before biting. Anything fishy, shut down the transaction, would be my opinion.
Keep in mind that there are reputable sales outlets that also advertise on Armslist--their ads plainly indicate that they are a legitimate businesses. Even then, a transaction could result in a disappointed customer if one doesn't use due diligence.
