I'd like it to be in pretty decent shape. No major dings or scratches. I prefer a vent rib. Barrel length and choke are not important. |

What is your budget? For say a As New one with 28" Vent Rib, 4 chokes. |

I'm sure glad I bought mine when I did, there was a remington 870 express 16ga nib sold for $2000 last week on there lol. |

Y'know, the two guns Putz linked to, the new owners up at Ilion would do well to buy them and have them for all the workers to see, every day, just to remind them what they used to produce. And what they should be capable of again.
Back when those guns were new, showing up at the gun club with an 1100 or an 870 like those was both a sign you'd arrived and were a serious shooter and reason for all the other shooters to come over and gawk. I remember being about 11 and getting to shoot a near-new 870 of that vintage. I felt like a god who walked the earth. One of my buddies, his dad was a serious hunter and bought him a 20 gauge 1100 of that era. We all figured he was the luckiest guy around. I haven't seen him in like 40 years - I hope for his sake he still has it. |
