I've done some more digging on their website and found that these guns are made by the RFM company. A group picture showing the principals of the company appears to have one of the Fausti sisters as the wife of the gun maker. Their guns look a lot like my Fausti DEA Coin Finish. Their FAQ says that custom dimensions are a part of the package on getting a gun built. They have a button on the bottom of the gun pages that says "view all options" that you can click on, but I can't get it to work. They do have my POW stock, ejectors, screw in chokes and single trigger, but the forend choices don't include my semi-beavertail. 50% deposit and three month build time. Verrrrry interesting. |

I believe Barbara Fausti married one of the Rizzini boys. |

I started with the cheapest one and started adding options. I was up to $3100 quite quickly. |

Ha! I did the same thing and came in at $3,150. Maybe we have the same tastes
About the only advantage over a custom FAIR Iside that I can see is that you get to pick out your custom wood when you upgrade the wood. But these guns are unproven yet and they seem to make a point of hand done work instead of CNC. I tend to lean toward CNC myself. Hand work leaves room for errors IME.
And being a start up in another 5-10 years have to wonder about the availability of parts if needed. But everyone has to start at some place. And another 16 ga. option is always a good thing. |

I don’t think they’re exactly a startup. RFM has been in business since the 1950s. Upland Gun Compsnybis just serving as the new importer/broker in the US.
That said, I know nothing, good or bad on them, other than everything we’ve all seen in the links posted.
$3100 was where I got to as well. |

$3k for a custom built gun is pretty good imo. I like how you can even choose to add side plates or not. |

These look like nice guns , I hadn't heard of the manufacturer RFM until Skeettx educated us on here .
My specked gun ended up at $3100 as well .
I did a search for RFM uk and Sportsman gun centre are selling them on there website , but they aren't offering a 16ga .
Definitely your US importer is running a good custom service .
Sorry I don't know more about RFM but they have been around from the 50s as far as I can make out .
Hopefully someone will do a review on here in the future .
All the best guys WJ. |

I sent a FB message to UGC and one of the owners replied immediately. We wound up chatting on line for a bit. Nice guy and very happy to accommodate. He even offered to have me come shoot one if I was near MN, which a is a bit far from Alabama. Both the US importer and the manufacturer seem like a solid bet for a good gun. I’m going to sell a M21 and buy one in 16 as an upland gun. Of course, I built mine as well, came out to $3300. Not bad to get exactly what I want in a bird gun. Btw, I love the M21 but it’s just too heavy. I’ve mostly switched to Italian guns. Can’t beat the quality for the price. |

So, how will you configure yours? This is what I selected:
16 ga, of course
Coin finish
Single trigger
Extractors
29 in barrels
Flat rib
Interchangeable chokes
Pistol grip
Black synthetic butt
Semi-beavertail
Grade 2.5 wood
Ivory bead |

I prefer the semi-beavertail also, but all I found was splinter, regular or beavertail, no semi-beavertail. Did you find something different? |

Darn their hide, they went and changed the only issue that had me backing off on this gun. They must be mind readers. |

I found it interesting that their most expensive model was a hammer gun, i.e. the RFM Mythos M3. Now that is a company that thinks like I do! |

+1
I didn't realize they offered a hammer gun. Do they have one in 16? I'll have to look again. |
