Yes but unfortunately it’s a 12. Best I could do. Took a long time to find that one only made 1200 of those in all grades. It’s just a 9f.

No need for modesty! A DM Lefever like that is almost like finding a Honas Wagner card, or a 1933 Double Eagle coin. The great American genius Uncle Dan Lefever put his best and final efforts into that line of guns, leaving you in very rare company.

Cheers

A 16ga Dm Lefever cross bolt gun would be awesome but one could probably get a 16ga Lindner for same price 8-10k. Little steep for me, I find these guns for a grand or less and restore them with horse trading money.

I have to wonder how many of them ended their days rusting out in chicken coops and woodsheds. Glad you rescued it, and thanks for posting the great photo, it made my day.

According to an email from Arts yesterday, they will now only work on Brownings.

Not surprising, he doesn’t like working on the other stuff.
Also is swamped with work.
I have seen several mint refurbished sweet 16s with vent ribs all matching sell for 3-5k lately without the box.
I don’t disagree with the pricing when you compare a stamped out benelli going for 1800.00. They make a original Belgium browning look like a Rolex!

Great news. Straight stock gun all matching numbers, original butt plate, barrel has not been modified only had the wrong forend. I will be able to use my backup 1925-26 gun’s forend on this one and will just case the 2, 2 1/2 brownings together.

I have seen a 2 gun 4 barrel leather case in browning book, I’m sure that’s impossible to find. Huey probably would cost 3-4K. Probably a pelican in my future, don’t think I can part with any more of my guns to pay for a custom case.
A guy can dream, sometimes they come true.
