Oh they will not tell you. Login to the BPI site and check your order status, Login and go to > My Account > View your Order History > and check your most recent order. Guarantee it says Back Ordered, No Shipment Set.
When I was able to order 5K of Cheddite primers couple of months ago it said status "Will Pick". And they didn't charge me until the day they shipped. Have 3 orders since then, another 5K sleeve of Cheddites, 8 pound keg of Clays powder, and the W209 primers from last night. They took the money for all 3 of them right away but status is "Back Ordered, No Shipment Set." BPI is sitting on a lot of money right now for products they do not have in stock. |

That pretty much says it all. I do hope they make good. And soon. |

Thanks, Cold Iron, for the hazmat code and 707PS for the heads up on the Ched’s. I called and got some added to my back order. |

I am such a sucker for punishment...
Few minutes ago they showed Steel powder in stock, so I bought 2 one pounders. And they have Cheddite 16 ga. hulls back in stock but just high base so got 200 red although wanted blue.
Have a bunch of Federal HW15 shells purchased from Rogers over the last couple of years on clearance and plan on pulling the shot out of them and loading 15\16 oz FHW15 #7 in 16 ga. but of course... Going to be an interesting ride and not sure it is worth doing it, will not know until I try it and test some shells. But if the Steel powder shows up as back ordered tomorrow I will cancel the whole order. |

Seems like a shitty way to do business, but I guess their online ordering system must not know how much they actually have in stock when the orders are placed.
I'll call tomorrow, and if they don't actually have them in stock and can't advise on a shipping date I'll cancel my order. |

That’s a hell of a way to do business. I live 25 miles from them and shop there occasionally. Would never allow them to do that on my credit card.
Don’t get me started on their 16 ga reloading manual. |

ok fellas slow your roll. calm your jets. What really happens is when you place an order it puts a hold on your funds, yes you will see come out of your bank. if the order does not ship, then the charge will disappear. And with the primers, thats just the way it is, they had so many to sell, I'm sure they were gone really fast. Real time inventory is pretty hard to do when you have that many people buying, or trying to buy.
As far as their manual.... got nothing for that, its a joke at best. They still have some good products and some bad ones. I have returned 1 item in several years, no questions ask, it didn't work worth a f... |

It's not a hold, or pending, it's processed. Added to my credit card balance. I pay off my credit cards in full every month, so I'll be paying in full for something that hasn't shipped. That's not cool.
When I ordered mags for a handgun I own, they didn't charge me until they shipped, even though they were in stock, it took them 10 weeks to get it out the door. I wasn't charged until it shipped. |

I had some real disagreements with them and have purchased from Precision Reloading ever since. Hint: Precision sells the same wads as BPI, but doesn't rename them to confuse things. |

Update: The charges were backed out and taken off the card, so no harm no foul. Never got around to calling them either.
Order shows backordered, no ship date. |
