It seems that Tri Star is the only one to offer the "Resurgent" sixteen gauge. |

That's one. They show two similar guns. My, how the prices jumped from the article to the current catelogue. Note the weights are quite similar for all gauges. |

The prices are the same for all gauges as well. Nice to see they don't price gouge you for buying a resurgent gun.

I can't find it now, but Browning did have some 16 gauge guns, including the Citori line, listed under Shot Show specials. Looks like they took it off the web site though. |

* Fausti
* B. Rizzini
* Browning (Gran Lightning, 525 Field, Superlight Feather, White Lightning)
* FAIR

Gentlemen,
Yes the O/U 16 gauge guns do seem to be available today and that is great stuff, however what interests a Grouse hunter like myself is SXS double guns, especially 16 gauge Hammer Guns. Now Fausti just released a new Hammer Gun in 28 & 20 gauge, with light engraving it looks fantastic. Wheres the 16 gauge Hammer Gun from Fausti. Been waiting a long time for a modern builder to step up and make a good 16 gauge Hammer Gun.
I know I am a throw back to my Grandfathers era of Grouse hunting, however I would love to see a new 16 gauge Hammer gun made for sportsman like myself.
There is an original 16 gauge L.C. Smith Trap Grade Hammer Gun on GI, that is pretty expensive, have seen no modern builder make anything like it in years.
all the best,
Pine Creek/Dave

Superlight Feather made in a 16? I’ve never been able to find a new one. Browning is a frustrating company. |

I never seem to be able to find a Superlight Feather made in a 16 during the window in which Browning sells them. |

Browning seems to introduce a new 16 gauge O/U Citori every year, every other year, etc. during the Shot Show. They are limited-production guns that disappear almost as quickly as they show up.
By the time you hear about them and want to track one down, they are out of production! However, a few dealers always seem to pick up some and that's how you typically can track one down.
Right now, it looks like the 16 gauge White Lightning and the 16 gauge Gran Lightning are currently in production: https://www.browning.com/products/firearms/shotguns/citori/limited.html |
