LC Smith and I took my young brittany out for his second round of training this evening after the trainer got off his regular job. The first session Monday was a sucess when the trainers and I were impressed with his catching on quickly.
A second session was immediately scheduled before the end of the preserve season. My dog Buster worked very well for a young dog whose training got started late. He worked great finding and making good points on all of the chukars and did retrieve each bird although we have some work to do on that. The last bird got out a bit on me but went down with a broken wing and Buster would not let anything get away.
My LC Smith Ideal 16ga was the Ideal gun for the job today and downed the birds with gusto |
