Here are my 2 roosters from this AM. The Girls found 3 but I couldn't get a shot at the first one that flushed. We then found these 2 to fill our limit for the day. Very Happy [/img]

Super pic of the Roosters and the dogs. They look ready to go for another round of hunting.

I am going quail hunting with my dad (and although he doesn't know it yet, his "new" 16ga Fox Sterlingworth) on the Wednesday after Christmas next week. The place we go is leased land and has some great wild birds. I will post some pictures after I get back.

KB,
They would have hunted for another 6 hours if they could have. Unfortunately we shot the limit in just under 2 hours. We're heading out tomorrow AM to the club. They'll get their fill then. Wink

What a great son you are to get the old man a 16GA Sterly - that is really cool. I would like to do that for my brother one of these days soon. He's like a Dad to me. My Dad died about 15 years ago. Problem is, my bro isnt crazy about sxs's like I am. He would rather have a nice light O/U which is fine.

TJ,

Nice pic!

That's exactly what I wanted to do today except a little thing called work got in the way....major inconvenience! Got into black river last weekend late on saturday but saw nothing. It became a leisurely stroll. Now, I'm all booked up with stuff to do so maybe I can get in there next friday or saturday morning.

Anyway, the state says they got a couple of thousand surplus birds that they're putting out up to 12/31 so happy hunting!

ww, not sure what you are talking about with that word, work. I've been off since Nov 8. Very Happy Hunted every day but 2. Mostly birds but a few days of deer during the firearm season. Smile

hoa,
I know what you mean. I do love being out there with the dogs, walking, listening to the cackle as the birds rise, it is all great.
But then if you watch the dogs working, I think they are having even more fun. Wink

Back out tomorrow morning at the club. We'll be hunting pheasants in the rain tomorrow. Mad
