Bill Hillman
If you are not into the ear pinching/ toe hitch thing and/or if your dog loves to retrieve but is a softer disposition.
I HIGHLY recommend it and his "Traffic Cop" method for stationary commands.
Good luck,

Check out DogBoneHunters' hold conditioning on YouTube. Like Hillman he uses a less stressful approach then FF. A true FF is more stressful on the trainer then the pooch. That said I have Mike Stawski videos if you would like to use them. Have a Len Jenkins' book" Gun Dog training, do it yourself and do it right." That I'd be happy to send with them. If you decide you want to keep em we can work out a price (Won't be much). If not send em back when done. |

When doing FF it doesn't matter if you working with a flushing or pointing dog. And yes those that hunt retrievers also FF. If you want rock solid retrieves.

Have to agree with you, 100%. In the past always went down the Hardy, Graham, Spencer etc. path. My latest pup is now 6 months old and I'm going to stay with Hillmann. Wished I would had started with him years ago, this is most likely my last dog at this stage in my life now.
Good read on Fetch by him:

The Fetch Command DVD, along with Traffic Cop and the others:
