One is 16, the other is a 20. Both weigh 5 1/2 lbs. The 16 has clearly seen less use, but the stock is only 13 1/2 inch over a decent pad. The 20 is 14 inch to the factory plate.
The 16 is from 1947 and has had the barrel cut back to 26 1/2-inches, 10 points of choke remain (tight IC). The 20 is from 1948 and has a 28-inch tube choked Mod.
The 16 functions flawlessly, the 20 doesn't like Fiocchi shells, prefers Winchesters.
I can find no other 31L guns anywhere to price compare them to. I'm thinking $500 each. You pay shipping.

Well, shucks I am too late again. BUT, interestingly, must be something about Fioochi shells. I was shooting a round of SC with a friend that had a beauty of a Rem 17 in 20 ga. It would not digest Fiocchi hulls-jammed every time. I was shooting a VHE 20 Parker with Federal hulls, and his gun had no problems with them, so we just traded shells--no problems in a double gun |

The 20 is spoken for, the 16 remains. This gun extended my father-in-laws upland bird hunting until his passing last Fall as it was almost half the weight of his 870 12-bore, but with exactly the same dimensions and controls. He chose the 16 over the 20 for the better lethality and used it to harvest, on average, 25-30 birds a year.

This gun still has very good original finishes and better than average wood. |

It would appear that both guns are now spoken for. Awaiting confirmation and funds on the 16. |
