Rem 870 16 gauge with two barrels no ribs but one has rolled matted on top mod and full chokes gun is as new seventies production . My question at $700 Canadian funny money did I overpay . 16 gauge stuff seems to be coming out of the wood work up here lately . Picked up another barrel a bolt and small parts all 16 for another 12 to 16 gauge conversion . |

You did very well.
I recently picked up a mint 12ga, mid 60s, with 2 barrels, 24" rifled and 28" modified plain, for 600....and that was a steal around here.
Nicely done!
Matte top barrels are from the 50s...your gun may be older than you think! |

I think you did alright.
My neighbor just sold on GunBroker for just over 600+ for a nice, clean 870 that he purchased new in 1962 (I think). It was a closet queen and they WOULD NOT hunt in the rain.
Based on other auctions that I am seeing, you did alright.

I have a new in box 12 gauge Wingmaster coming. It has an 28” Rem Choke barrel, and an 18” cyl barrel. All new, never assembled, likely late 90’s production. I think I did very well at $400. |
