well , after a couple month struggle to keep the Beagle going , she left us Tues Morn - in my arms of course ! Best bred dog I've ever seen . Loving little honey . Janes bear protector down at the camp . Slept in my bed every nite for 13 1/2 yrs . don't think we can replace her . Not gonna try for a while at least . I know ya'all know what I'm saying that've owned a dog , even the ones you didn't think you were close to . More tears of joy than sorrow ! love ya honey ! |

Sorry for your loss. I often wish lifespans were more compatible with dogs and humans. It just doesn't seem fair having to say goodbye to so many loyal. loving companions in our lifetime. They each take a little piece of our hearts with them when they go. |

16gaugeDavis,
Sorry about you loosing your great dog. God only gives them to us for a short time, she will be standing at the gate waiting when you cross over. Having lost many to old age, I believe God gives us our dogs to teach us unconditional love, and his gifts are with us always.
all the best,
Pine Creek/Dave

No greater family loss than a dog other than a two-legged family member. We understand your loss. Old men have had many dogs. Gil |

So sorry, it's the toughest gig. We fellow dog-loving hunters understand. |

So sorry to hear this. Lost our little beagle of 15 years, 2 years ago. Sweetest dog ever. No replacing her but the void of an empty house was almost unbearable. Only one way to get over it. |

Sorry for your loss. We've had a few dogs that were family members and when they passed it was a long time in grieving. |

I have concluded that the purpose of a dog, is to convince you that you need a dog.
They are little people in fur coats, who can become more endearing than most people.
I’m very sorry to hear of your loss - when they leave it is absolutely heart breaking.
There is a profound psychological mechanism at work when it comes to having a dog, don’t try and think on it too much - your heart will tell you what to do, and when to do it |

I lost a 16 year old beagle and a 12 year old lab in 2020, both were dear friends. I'm very familiar with the path your walking and feel very bad for you. Another will come to help fill the void. However you won't pick the pooch, it will pick you. Happens every time. |
