Picked up a Browning Lightning Sweet 16 at local shop, 26 barrels. Love it.
Sold my 28" barrel model to my son. He and his wife and kids can shoot it.

Still have the full pistol grip 26 barrel model, but it will relagated back up duty.
Shot a round of 50 clays using some old remington game loads I had laying around, hoarding the rest of my 16 loads for hunting season.

I really like it! I am an English grip or Rounded prince of whales grip type shooter

Just picked up mine on Wednesday, haven’t even had it out of the box yet!

Just curious -- are these new guns? Used guns? Standard Lightnings?

Mine is brand spanking new.
I just wanted the rounded grip, as they should have been initially in my opinion.
Getting close to chicken season too.

Agree they should have had a POW type of grip in the first place. I bought before the lightning was announced. So I had mine altered and the high gloss finish removed and replaced with a satin finish. Mine shoots very well.

I sent an email to Browning last week concerning the availability of the special Maple wood Sweet 16. They were prompt in answering and said that they are looking at a September/October time frame for that gun. I'll be picking one up when they're available. They didn't say how many they would be making.

I was about to send and email but figured I would check here and see. I’ll be getting one too, my wife really wants one and it looks like it might be right on time for a birthday present. I would like to get one with the lightning stock for myself just wish they were more affordable.

I’ve seen them for $1453 with the 26” barrel in stock. That is about as cheap as they will get until a few used ones become available.
