I rarely chase upland game but my waterfowl travels take around a good portion of central and western MN.

That said, with this dry warm weather we have had the crop harvest is unusually far along for this time of year.

Generally farmers are wrapping up silage corn now and starting soy beans in a week or two.

I’d guess in 3 weeks, weather dependent, harvest will be done.

I’d guess the soybean harvest is 30% done and the corn is 15% done.

I’ve also seen and heard more pheasants than in years past.

I wouldn’t be afraid to get out more early in the season this year!

Good luck!

I've noticed the corn harvest is surprisingly going strong here in western WI. That hot dry weather really dried out the corn. Good news for pheasant hunters.

You should see the corn in eastern PA, it’s 12’ high and still green in some places.

In our area I’m sure there will be a lot of stuck farm equipment come harvest time. It has done nothing but rain here the last couple months.
