JUST PURCHASED A 1947 REMINGTON MODEL 11 WITH A 26" IMPROVED CYLINDER BARREL. THAT BARREL LENGTH CHOKE COMBO SEEMS A LITTLE HARD TO FIND. THIS BEING A LATER GUN WERE MORE OF THESE PRODUCED AT THE END OF THE RUN. REALLY NICE CONDITION AND 16 GAUGE. |

PHE,
Wow!!! Great find!
Yes, in my neck of the woods, 26" IC Model 11 in any gauge is a rare thing indeed...
Great find! |

My 1938 16-gauge Sportsman is a 26-inch solid rib gun choked imp cyl. Remington pumps and autoloaders were offered in full choke, modified choke and cylinder bore until the mid-1930s when improved cylinder was added to the offerings. They also made some Imp. Mod. barrels but I don't see that choke listed in any of the Remington catalogs of the period that I have. |

I'd have to check the year on my Mod 11 but it does have a Polychoke |
