be filled in??
Have a SKB 900, that has ported barrel, it appears that the porting slows down the recoil so that the shell in the magazine will not release to be feed into the chamber. |

Filling in ports is rather complicated and that will make it expensive. Welding the ports closed is simple but will bend the barrel, which will have to be straightened. Then the inside of the barrel will require machine work and honing to fix the mess inside created by the welding. In the end it will cost more than the shotgun.
The good news is that porting has nothing to do with the operation of that shotgun. Porting can't slow down the recoil reaction of the shotgun to the load being launched. All porting does is bleed off excess powder gas to reduce muzzle rise. Porting does not reduce recoil. It might reduce felt recoil if your shotgun does not fit and your cheek is taking the abuse.
Porting is kinda like chamber pressure, it gets blamed for a lot of stuff. |

This makes me curious about cutts compensators. Do they reduce recoil, affect the operation of recoil operated shotguns, and increase noise, or tend to keep the muzzle steady during recoil? |

From the mid-1930s through the 1950s a lot of skeet shooters were using Remington Sportsman, Model 11s, and Model 11-48s with Cutts Compensators.

Instead of filling can it be cut and treaded to accept a choke ? |

Aurelio,
I suggest you contact a good Master Gun Maker or a real good Gun Smith with lots of experience to get the info you need on altering your gun. This is a very technical question and will depend on the individual gun.
all the best,
