Picked up a couple of boxes of Nobel Sport, #6's 1350fps at local dealer.
He has a few more, will pick up couple more boxes today. That will get me through prairie chicken season with some left for pheasants.
Hoarding my stash of Federals, B&P's and Bismuth for the Dakotas. |

Hootch,
Not sure if you reload or not, but IMO the half flat of Nobel Sports I bought over ten years ago turned out to be one of the best of the "European" straight-walled hulls I have reloaded. Have lost a lot in the weeds over the years while hunting, but still reloading quite a few of them today. No "brass" splits whatsoever, and very few crimp splits. Perhaps the quality is the same today. |

You will need to find Rio primers that are slightly larger than standard 209's. |

I've shot plenty of Nobel Sport shells over the years. Used to get them cheap by the pallet. I've always liked them.
I use Nobel Sport 209 primers all the time and have for years. They have the same burn rate as Win 209 primers. |

I just picked up a case of 16ga NSI from a club member who found them in his basement. Cheapest shells I've bought in a while!
Understanding that I favor the purple Federals, and that the NSI's are straight-walled hulls:
What wads are recommended for a 1oz load in the NSI's?
Can I use W209 primers or am I on a search for Nobels?
Thanks |

The sg-16 or sg-16s from either BPI or Precision is the was your looking for. It’s actually the same was they load from the factory at least on the one or two I cut open. |
