Looks like the 16 Gauge Society has something of a counterpart in Italy -- Club Calibro 16. I stumbled across the website when looking at the R.F.M. website:
https://www.calibro16.it/

Looks like they were started in 2020 during the COVID outbreak. The website is pretty extensive. I like the clothing -- hats, jackets, etc. -- I see on some of the members. Looks like they also organize a few hunts and events. Looks like a fun group.

I like it also and will spend more time over the next few days exploring their site.

Although I don't speak Italian, I sent them an email in English indicating it was nice to see an equivalent site touting the use of the 16 gauge for all shooting sports.

Non capisco l'italiano.

Except to order a beer and ask where the bathroom is...

Una birra, per favore!

Dov'è la toilette?

A short while ago, I received an email back from Riccardo Ceccarelli, the President of Calibro 16 Italia Club.

He indicated there are about 200 members of the club and have been in existence for 9 years. He also indicated the club has worked hard the past nine years to get firearms and ammunition back and that the situation is much better today, after 9 years of activity. He also indicated that the 16 gauge has become much more popular than what it was 9 years ago, although many 16 gauge users in Italy have not joined their group.

If I'm reading the email correctly, he indicates it would be nice to hear from some folks from our 16 Gauge Society group concerning our experiences with the 16 ga.

The link shows them having a lot of fun... and some gorgeous shotguns with spectacular engraving....

I think we need a drooling emoji.... If I empty my 401k, and work until the end of time.... I might be able to afford to hold one for 5 minutes....

I need to rehydrate after all that.... Laughing
