I have decided to sell my Marlin Ranger 90
See this
http://www.16ga.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=23276&highlight=ranger
Gun is the best condition one I've ever seen . I hate to put a percentage number on condition. So let just say very close to new as you can get for gun of this age. Don't think the gun has been fired much ( I dove hunted with 1 it time ,think I shot about a box through it) Lock up is like new - very tight . Besides a few light marks on the stock , the gun is really nice. Very hard to find model and configuration and in this condition
26" barrels that are choked .006 in Rt barrel and .018 and in Lt barrel so I/C & Mod .
Weight is 6 lbs 6oz
Please refrain from any negative comments.
If you wish to discuss purchase of the gun please contact me through private message
I took a lot of pictures on my phone but can't get them to transfer to my computer , send me a pm with you phone # and I can text them to you .
Thanks for looking, Mark |

Very, very nice gun. Give ya a hint WD40 on a rag will clean up that pad to look as good as the rest of the gun. Just takes a little elbow grease. Would be hard to sell that one. |

I have the same shotgun. It handles nicely. N a side note, my recoil pad is badly in need of replacement. Anyone know where I can find a original style replacement? |

Excellent item. It would be great for High Plains Montana pheasants, they get up and go quick and those 26” barrels would get the drop on them.

Mark , Mark , Mark.....
No, no, no.
Keep that gun it's one of the good ones.
I have 2 of those exact guns and a 28" ranger no amount would those ever be parted with , now the Marlin 90 branded , I could see you part with one PERHAPS , SMILING.
Regards, Nick |

I also agree with Nick. I have the same Marlin Model 90 made in 1947 that has been my favorite upland bird gun.
I also have a pre-WWII single trigger 16 ga Model 90 that has the bird dog scene on the frame. I assume the ST is an aftermarket conversion since Marlin didn't start selling the Model 90 ST until 1954. It has 26" barrels with a matching serial number and 28" barrels with a different serial number. |

You guys are right. I may change my mind down the road, but for now I have decided to take it off the market.
Thanks, Mark |

Hoped you would decide that as its pretty much irreplaceable. But shoot shoot shoot it! |

I'd sell it. It's a great gun, but you obviously have others you'd rather use. Make some money and make someone else happy. (unless you're the collector type) |
