What do ya think guys, how about a 16ga Benneli based on a scaled version of the Black Eagle. I've handled the Super Black Eagle of my cousin's and another from local club member and I have nothing but praise for the gun.

A 16 ga SBE is a great idea. I have an SBE 12 & 20 ga Legacy - everything Benelli does is great, but I like SxSs and O/Us, too, which they don't produce, I think. |

I have a Montefeltro 20ga which was my go-to gun when I lived in TX. A 16ga to-scale would be an awesome gun. With a 26" bbl, it would be a sweet pointing gun. Should weigh in about 6 1/2 lbs. If not a Benelli, then a Beretta 390 or whatever their latest configuration is called now.
I haven't looked at Benellis in a number of years, but my son looked at some
recently and noticed that they had "made in China" on them. I can't swear to it, but that is what he told me. Being somewhat of an old timer now, I had a hard time dealing with guns made in Japan (before you flame me, I have seen the light with Win 101s and Citoris), and now Turkey, and China, never! Can anyone else shed light on the Benelli/China thing? Sorry, just the ramblings of an ol' fart. |

And since it's New Year's, let me add somebody start making a quality 7/8 oz around 1200 fps 16g target/quail/dove load at <$50/case
AND every box of ammo comes with oz and grams, speed, and psi! |
