The times they are a’changin as they say. My plain vanilla Citori, albeit in similar or better condition than the one in question, is far from my favorite in the stable. But I wouldn’t part with it for anything under $3k, much less so $1800, given today’s frothy monetary conditions. Just look what happened recently to ammo, not to mention beef and gasoline.
Quite simply, guns are holding their value better than greenbacks, so why sell unless you urgently need the funds (at least that’s the explanation I give to HQ). So I side with the seller here.
And besides all that, the good deals have all disappeared out this way.
Tomorrow might be a different story, however.

I’m not sure what’s so special about this gun. There are numerous new and used citoris on GB for a lot less money. |

Wood quality appears to be major factor in GB Citori pricing. Lower priced examples look like pallet wood. A modicum of figure brings premium price.

1987 was the first year Browning ever made a Citori in 16g. |

Well, that might be important to some but I would not pay a premium for a first year used gun. |

Personally I don't see why people get so excited about these guns. The barrels are stacked the wrong way and a trigger is missing! |
