A few things about that gun. I don’t like seeing a blued Darne. They did not come blued, and that means it has been apart. May be OK, may not be. There is a rather ugly replacement screw in the front wood, going up into the gun, and the safety also has a strange modification. The extension and repairs to the butt stock are purely utilitarian, nothing wrong with that if the price doesn’t sneak up too much higher.
The very cheapest Francisque Darne sliding breech post war gun, a Regis Darne 1894 action copy, could be had blued. I’ve never seen one, but, they were cataloged. But a Darne from the originator were never blued.
