Some folks have bears on their back steps, I have.......Hungarian Partridge!!
No kidding, I went to walk out back and these huns were drinking water that collected on the back steps. I also have cracked corn in some feeders.
There has been a covey here for 3 years now. There is wheat to the south, oats to the east and some nice set aside land to the north and tree belts to the north and west.

That's pretty neat. Its good to see their numbers increasing. There were quite a few years that I passed on shooting them. |
