Anyone ever heard of a 16 gauge 686 ? I like my 16 Grand Lightening but the balance between the hands of my 686 sub gauges suits me much better than the Browning . I always seem to be chasing a unicorn but I would jump on a 16gauge 686 like a fat kid on a Smarty ( We call M&M , Smarty's up here)

I’ve never heard of one being made. Sure would be sweet to have one with a 20 ga 686 frame.

It's a neat idea, but in reality it'd likely have poor barrel convergence, being a Beretta

Not something I have noticed with the seven I presently own and the six or so that I have used and sold ?

I've owned 6 Citoris, all were dead nuts. 2 Berettas, both were off. Bad luck perhaps, but I'll never own another Beretta OU in this lifetime.

I have had a 686 in 20 and 12.
Wish I had never sold them. Some of the best shooting and most dependable guns I have ever owned.
Sold them only because I wanted to go to the SxS route.
Had one Citori and sold it immediately. Just liked the Beretta better.
Proof that different strokes for different folks. Man that is "old school".

As long as I can get double triggers, I’d be in for one. Have a DT Sauer-Beretta in 12, and it’s a nice field gun. (for a twelve)

No 680 series 16s, but they did make some sxs guns in the past. If you like the way Berettas feel you’ll love this.

Funny, all those trophy’s I’ve won with my Betetta o/u shotguns must have been accidents since they don’t shoot straight. This years NSCA national champion, Zach Kienbaum, shoots one as well. He used to shoot for Perazzi and Krieghoff!

I would love a Beretta 686 in 16 gauge. 30" chrome lined barrel, choke tubes, single trigger built on it's own 16 gauge frame.

If that ever came true I would put every other shotgun I own in the safe and never shoot them again.

I have a 12 gauge 686 and the only reason I don't shoot it much is because I shoot my 16's. The barrel regulation is dead on BTW.

I have a 686 in 410, 28, 20 and 12 ga.
It would be fantastic to fill the 16 ga gap.
Browning continues to support the 16 ga. I guess demand doesn’t justify Beretta to do that.

This.

Left is mine 32" Comp 16 with custom Briley bore matched extended chokes. Middle 30" Comp 16. Right 29" BR110 16 ga.

My Joel Etchen custom EELL SPII 687\682 Gold E has more than 100K rounds through it and still looks like new and never had a problem with it.

And unlike Brownings never had a bottom barrel failure to fire LOL.

If Beretta came out with a SxSs 16 that did not cost $10 G or motor, I would be a contender.
Hell, less than 5 would be more in my range.
