Not a good clear photo of it, but, the gun appears to have a “gape” issue on the bottom of the metal of the forend. Common on older guns.
Looks like a decent boxlock. I’m all over the 2 1/2” ammunition thing. That stuff is getting to be too hard to find.

If I wouldn’t have just bought the Japanese copy of the same gun (pretty much) I would buy this one. I see the glare on the Proud tips of forend wood against the iron? Looks really nice to me, but keep in mind most guys at Cabelas or ass pro don’t know left from right, front from back or how to read a tape.
I do agree buying from pics is always a gamble. |

looked like a nice boxlock ejector gun....what was astonishing to me is the fact that a cow-bellers ad included a picture of the barrel flats with the proof marks clearly legible....i don't think i've ever seen that happen before....
