Stunning piece, of course...I just bought a hammergun. If I might ask, what are the chokes and how much does it weigh? |

It's choked im/im. Weighs 6.10 lbs with the 30" barrels. It weighed 7lbs when I got it, and so I trimmed and hollowed out the stock. |

Not much to see yet. Right now it's a rust bucket 68 C10 short box stepside. I'm getting a new motor/trans, and cab this week. Frame off restoration. Going to put my paintings on it and have it be a rolling advertisement. |

Here are a couple pics:
Here's the gun right after I got it, with a very thick, ugly stock-
Here's after I cut the middle of the stock out with a jigsaw to shave off about 5-6 oz. of net weight. You can hollow it out by drilling of course, but in my experience, it's difficult to remove more than a couple ounces that way. I re-built the sides with thin 1/8" plywood and lightweight wood resin epoxy, and added about 1/4" comb height while I was at it:
It went through a couple different iterations of graining and different pads:
As it is now, Husky version 5.0, with dark marble cake wood, red Galazan pad and setter portrait. The portrait could be removed and re-grained (at extra cost) if preferred:

I try not to get too attached to them, no matter how nice they are. I've had this one much longer than most. Change happens. |

Were you referring to the gun or the truck? |

Thanks! The AYA buyer had a financial emergency and couldn't pay, so I guess I'll just keep it for a while. Maybe convert it to straight grip, etc. I'll post truck pics when it's a bit further along. Took the engine/trans out yesterday, so it's frame off now. Putting everything back on is the fun and expensive part. |
