Bear in mind that Rem 57 primers are undersize. From what I have seen in my stash of hulls, Remington was still using these fairly recently in recent year with some of their low cost ammo. Said hulls can use them if the larger 97 or 209 primers have never been inserted (in other words, once fired factory). I don't know if 16 ga. RGL's still use them. I have already used 209's in all my RGL's. How do I know any of this? I actually have a few hundred 57's & CCI 157's and tried them in some 20 ga. RGL's. |

I did have a bunch of 20 gauge but wore them out with the
first 10.000 loads, |

Just came into ~600 NOS unfired primed Rem 57 hulls and ~1600 57 size primers, some old 16ga ammo and a bunch of SP16 wads. Trying to figure out what to do with them.
In a cursory search it looks as though Rem was producing 57 sized hulls and primers up until ~1980.
Regarding Skeettx, it seems to me that our Emoticons library needs a "we're not worthy" option. |
