Well, how fitting that my first post would announce my first 16ga shotgun. I had considered a Citori, but already own an Upland 12ga. My first venture into 28ga was a Wingmaster, but Remingtons 16 didn't interest me. I've toted several 12ga guns all over the coverts after grouse for years, but never a 16. We'll see if the rumors are true...
I ordered a 26" Hunter and hope it points as well as my old 12ga BPS. If it comes by September/October I won't have much time at the range trying it out. Patterning will be a must though...
BTW, this is one of the more pleasant BB's I've joined, nice to be here. |

You are not alone Roper! My first post was also announcing my first 16ga., and it too is a BPS Hunter with 26"bbl. Not even sure if I'll get to use it much, but I just couldn't pass on the chance to get one. I picked up a Shot Show Grade III BPS in 12ga. last year and I love it, but it gets a bit heavy after a while. This smaller 16 should be a sweet little handler! Can't wait! |

I'm sure you guys are right about ordering your BPS shotguns now but I think some will be available even if you don't order them. I noticed that www.gzanders.com has already listed them on their site. Of course they don't have them yet. Unfortunately, they sell to FFL's only. |

Zanders has the G012216514 Upland 26" listed for MSRP of $633.
Yet the BrowningUSA site has MSRP of $555. If the former is true, I'll be getting a better deal than I thought. |

That sounds like a very high MSRP. I've ordered from Zanders many times. I'll bet Zanders price will be more in the $400 range wholesale. |

I'm going to see a dealer and order one Monday. Have already decided on the Upland (straight grip).
I'll be practicing on low-gun skeet and will probably carry it for pheasant. I normally shoot O/Us with 28" barrels. Which barrel length do you guys think I'd like best on the BPS Hunter -- 24" or 26"? |

That's really your call. I ordered the Hunter with 28" barrel. I never have gotten used to the straight grip. If you are going to shoot skeet with it as practice for mainly hunting, I'd go with what you'd prefer in a hunting gun. The Upland version in 24" should be the lightest of them all. |

Well, its official. I'm now on the waiting list for my pick. Should be in sometime in the fall. I need another shotgun like a fish needs a bicycle. But on the other hand, this one is one of my less hare-brained ideas. So why not!! |

Care to reveal your choice? Or are you getting one of each? |

Well I couldn't wait. So in the meantime I went up to the local trading post where I've got the BPS ordered and ordered a Remington SPR 16 gauge OU 28 in. barrells, nickle plated reciever. That will be in next week. Don't have any OU's so I had to get something new while waiting. |

Hello fello Canuck Ajaxfjr! I'm a Southern Ontario guy myself. Do you mind me asking which dealer you ordered your BPS through? I don't hear much about the 16 around my parts, but I've seen a few Canadian orders for the BPS 16 so far. |

Should keep track of how many on this site alone have orders in for one.

You can bet as soon as a trigger is pulled by a member here that it'll be followed by a post celebrating the event. I know I will be posting about it. |

Do you guys think these will be available on the market or just by pre-ordering? Any idea if the reciever has any engraving or plain sides? Thanks for any info. JT |
