Got it back today and and a better job than expected. They replaced the broken hammer spring welded the lug and fitted to the hinge pin ,replaced a missing pin and fitted some 28 ga tubes and 4 chokes.Every thing works and feels great the only thing different it balances a little over a inch in front of the hinge pin and a little heavier but still well under 7lbs.

Dave I don’t how to do that.I forgot to mention Briley did the work and got it back in three months which I thought was great.G&H had the gun for a year and when I called to check on it they tried to discourage me from repairing it and make it a wall hanger.

AC,

If I remember correctly I recommended Briley from the very beginning, sorry you did not take my advice and went to G&H the 1st time. Briley did a terrific job sleeving my #2 20 gauge L.C. Smith gun long ago for 28 gauge. I believe you will be greatly satisfied with their work also. Briley's turn around time has always been good also, congrats on finally getting the work done beautifully.

all the best,

My great Grandfathers preproduction 20 gauge #2 L.C. Smith gun, sleeved by Briley with 28 guage full length sleeves.

The correct terminology for what Briley does is "tubing", not sleeving. Sleeving is a different process.
