I’m getting “connection not secure” , “16ga.com uses an unsupported protocol” and “security out of date” messages when I try to connect to here using Safari on iPhone. I can connect with Chrome but with warnings. Anyone else seeing this?

I got the same thing a couple days ago trying to log on using my iPhone.
Completely fine using my iPad or my desk top IMac. |

| Since I use only wired phone and connect to the Internet via CPU I have received no such messages. |

it's because this site and software is old and not running at current standards. if you notice other sites will start with https:// this site is still http://

from the AI answer on google. is just easier to cut and paste than spend an hour typing

Safari on iPhone will display a "Not Secure" warning when a website uses HTTP instead of HTTPS, indicating an unencrypted connection. While it's safe to view these websites, you should avoid entering personal information like passwords or credit card details, according to Apple Discussions.
Why this happens:
HTTP vs. HTTPS:
HTTP is the older protocol for transmitting data on the web. HTTPS provides a secure, encrypted connection, protecting your data from eavesdropping.
Safari's Security Features:
Safari is designed to warn users about unencrypted websites, especially when sensitive information is involved.
Potential Risks:
Unencrypted websites can be vulnerable to attacks, making it easier for malicious actors to intercept your data.
What to do:
Be cautious:
Avoid entering sensitive information on websites displaying the "Not Secure" warning.
Check for HTTPS:
Look for the "https://" prefix in the website address or a padlock icon in the address bar.
Verify the site:
If you're unsure, verify the website's authenticity by checking for a secure connection or looking for alternative secure versions of the site.
To enable warnings for non-HTTPS websites:
Go to Settings > Safari.
Under Privacy & Security, turn on Not Secure Connection Warning.
By understanding the risks and taking precautions, you can safely browse the web on your iPhone while being mindful of website security.
