Gentleen,
Picked my 86 year old Ideal grade L.C. Smith double gun this morning. Simply beautiful old 16 gauge Ideal Grade double gun, that weighs 6,842 lbs on my postal scale. This is a perfect 16 gauge gun for Grouse & Woodcock hunting, will also be nice for Mearns Quail and Pheasant hunting also. The French Walnut stocks on this gun are just beautiful and in almost pristine condition. I will suffer with the ejectors in the Grouse woods however! All in all a great gun at a very reasonable price!

Gentlemen,
Was able to get out and shoot some Clays with the Ideal Grade 16 gauge double gun,
handles like a dream and shoots great bird killing patterns with both the M/F choked barrels, using Polywad SpredR's. The gun is well balanced and the pad does not drag on my clothing or vest at all, used my Browning Gore-Tex Grouse jacket to get the feel of it also, and everything worked perfectly. What a beautiful old Classic SXS side lock double gun. Can not wait till Grouse & Woodcock season this coming year to get the gun in the Grouse woods! The 2 1/2" shells worked perfectly! It will be a very serious Grouse & Woodcock gun!

| Beautiful gun! Great that you took it out and plan to hunt it. I take it LC ejectors are hard to cock like other sxs ejector guns? I have 3 sxs ejector guns and they are nowhere near as easy to cock as my O/U. |

The L.C. Smith ejector guns are not very hard to cock, thy also throw the sells a long way so if you miss catching them while opening the gun the shells are them hard to find in the snow.
