I decide to go hunting about 9:30 this morning. Called up the local pheasant run. Went up there with the old dog. A pointing lab. had them put out 6 birds. Then they told me that one of their pups was not taken. They had bred a lab to a shorthair. One left as it was taken but the wife of the gentleman didn't want it. So I said if he didn't want it I would take it. Went out hunting. Got 4 birds out of the 6 put out. Wounded one rooster and it flew into the woods. Went in looking for it but could not find it. So went back out and finished. Decided to go back one more time and look for it. Walked down farther into the woods. The old dog found the scent then I saw the tracks. Found the bird. Half of it eaten away. The hawks had got it in between the time I looked for it earlier. Anyway, came home with four pheasants and a new pup. Good sunday.http://good-times.webshots.com/photo/2797765440099813036NuZdok]

Gentlemen. I've got a problem. Not having a pup for 30 years, all of my dogs have come from rescued dogs. Now I have this new pup. My old dog decidesit's a plaything. I have two dogs running under my feet at my computer. One only weighs 85 lbs. and the other maybe a pound.. They have now moved into my living room. The new pup has learned allready to go into the kitchen, as the old dog knows he's not supposed to go there. Well I quess I'll go and break it up. Better then watching a football game.

No Sir. You don't have a problem; you have a puppy! Laughing Enjoy. It's worth it.

I know. I'm sitting in my office now. The dog bed is behind me. There's this big lab, over 80 lbs. laying there, next to this little dog that when he sits does not cover a 12 x 12 tile. The amzing things I have seen my dogs do, it's just hard to imagine that they were all once these little things that get underfoot. What amazes me is how hard they will work just to satisfy us. If only all humans were so inclined.
