At my request, sbs470 was kind enough to send me some photo's of his bespoke William Powell & Son. I thought others would like to see them also, so I have posted them here.

I got a Jeffery BLE for myself for Christmas (12ga, 2.5" - - Brits answer to the American 16ga) which is about 70 yrs young. I am planning on giving it a try this weekend (weather delayed delivery and opportunities due to weekend blizzards). I will post some pics if the readership is interested. |

Hi Guys
I'm very glad you guys like my gun.Praise from fellow members is praise indeed. I wish I was over there so you could try it out.
The gun weighs exactly 7 lbs.
Matt has a disc with all my doubles shotguns and rifles I'll ask him if he will post them.
good shooting

Oh....Now that I know its too heavy I don't feel so bad.
I was getting a lttle depressed there for a minute, knowing I would have to win the lottery to ever touch something that nice in my lifetime.
Starting to feel like quasimoto and his unrequited love for that real good looking babe he can never get. Think I'll go touch my Browning now.
closest to english best I will ever get is the earl grey tea in my cabinet. |

My friend I can tell you are a scholar and a gentleman for having such a fine shotgun in your possession. If I had it I would shoot it often and not to have it just to look at. |

Thanks for the kind words..A scholar!.I have an extensive gun book libary and am a student of the gun.
GENTLEMAN.?????? If you had been listening in 5 minutes ago to what my loving wife just called me.GENTLEMAN I ain't
If the ball bounces the right way I will be carrying that gun and others ; every mourning when I walk the boundry fence and check the stock on the 565 acres that we are looking at purchaseing in Tasmania.Wallabies wreck a lot of fences and I have a little Westley Richards double rifle in 300 savage that will help sort them out
good shooting

SBS...
Know how it is with keeping varmints off your fences. On the other hand, it is too bad you have to shoot the wallabees.
Some years ago, I lived in Washington, DC. A lady there who was a friend of my wife somehow secured a pair of wallabees. Every time they produced a litter, she was getting about $1500.00 per joey as they were becoming quite popular pets!! Hard to find, too! If you could get the import/export problems fixed, you could humanely get rid of the little buggers and make a packet in the process!

I thought that using a 300 savage was humane.I may have to use the 470 or the 500 Jefferys.
good shooting
