If you have a Big Five sporting goods store in your area, they have 16 gauge shells on sale now. They are Remington 1 oz. 8's for $4.99 a box, FYI. I picked up a case.

I just stopped by Bass Pro Shop. They had plenty of Rem. game loads in 71/2 and 8 shot for $3.99 per box AND Gamebore 2 1/2" loads in 6 and 7! Those were $7.99 per box.

Yes, Big5 is in California, and almost everything costs more here! I don't buy ammo there. |

And $4.99 a box is the best price I've been able to find. Big 5 use to put them on sale for $4.79...now $4.99. I wonder if Bass Pro sells them for $3.99 via the internet? I'll have to check it out....course then you have shipping |

Went to Wally's world last night. They had 4 boxes of 16's in the 1 1/8 oz. 6 shot. They wanted $9.48 a box. So I had a chat with the assistant manager. Asked him if they would order in some 1 oz. 8's for around $4.00 a box. He said he'd work on it (what ever that means...we'll see). No BassPro anywhere close to me...dang it! I did go back to Big 5, and they had 4 boxes of 1 oz. 8's for $4.99 a box. Bought all they had and asked the manager to order me in a case...he said he would...again...we'll see. The MEC 650 is suppose to be here tomorrow....I'm pumped!! It's going to be a long summer, waiting for the Fall bird season. But I'll stay in shape at the skeet range every week during the summer.
Later Gator. |
