maddie, my yellow lab bitch, turned six yesterday. celebrated her birthday with 5 1/2 lbs of new lab puppy. casey (another yellow lab bitch) comes from a solid local breeder (hammertown kenels, pineplains, ny) and I've hunted over her mom and was impressed.

I forgot how wonderful a new addition is, and also the 1st night crying - yet all is in line, and all is well Smile

pictures to follow.

gene hill was and is a genius Laughing

Congratulations! And not to be outdone, here's a picture of my new bundle of lab joy, named Lilly. We have had her a week.

pbaiser, congrats, good plan getting the pup while the other dog is young enough that they will hunt together for a while. I have a buddy with a yellow named Maddie, most hyper freakin lab I've ever seen, good hunter though, hope yours is better behaved.

Highcountry, congrats to you on the new pup too. Also, with a daughter that pretty it is a good thing that you know how to shoot, but you might want to step up to something heavier than a 16. By the way, I've got the almost the same problem but mine are eighteen and sixteen.

This isn't a pup but I needed the practice posting photos before I forget how again.Sally is almost 2,still acts like a pup though. She is a Chesapeake Bay Retriever. Loves to swim and the smell of pheasants. I agree with Gene Hill" anyone who says you can't buy happiness, never had a retriever puppy."

Perish the thought of the 28. I just picked up another 16 this afternoon. You can't have too many of The Worlds Finest Guns in the perfect gauge. Very Happy Or too many dogs.
