Rich--I haven't changed my recipe for 16's in a very long time but I do have BP's manual and, if my brane (!) isn't completly addled I seem to remember some data that suggest to me that Dave is correct. If you're new to this 'roll your own' process the 16ga, reloading site is an excellent investment. |

I am sure once you receive that 16 ga. man. from PR you'll agree that it is worthless plus it has the appearance of a school print shop project Get on board the 16 Ga. Group and you'll find yourself covered with 16 ga. load data plus other great info. Heads up here ! Glad you finally received your wads and that your press is doing a good job for you. |

Dave:
I'm shooting a Browning Citori 525 Sporting. 30" ported barrels with Midas grade chokes. Browning only made 70 of them last year. I feel fortunate to have one of them. It is a great looking firearm, with very nice wood. I took the winning bid for it on Gunbroker.com. It was NIB. I gave $2700 of it. You can pick up a new 12 gauge 525 for around $2400....but then, who wants a 12, right?

Rich,
You're shooting a nice modern gun, that can handle most any load you put through it. Just try and pick loads from the BP manual at 10,000 PSI or under. That way if they are off a little bit, you still have some wiggle room.
Of course the bigger the payload and the higher the pressure, the more your going to feel it. I shoot mostly older SxS's and keep my pressures under 8K PSI. You'll have fun and enjoy loading, ounce everything falls into place.
