I was in the 2nd category from the top when I got my first 16. Now I'm 2nd from the bottom. There's dirt out there younger than I am. |

Gents,
Any thoughts as to why half of the membership is in that 50-59 year old group? |

They're the only ones up this early to vote - all the guys at work have to wait until they get home to log on...
I'm willing to bet the unwritten "uniform" for the group would be gray hair, glasses and flannel check |

"Let me guess. You're male, married, at least 50 years old and attended college. Close? If so, then you're an average Shooting Sportsmen reader..." SS March/April 2007. Captain Billy, I guess you're normal!

I think it'd be cute to see who's been a life long 16er and who the newbies are that are driving up the prices!!
I was a wee lad watching my pa shoot ducks over the dekes with a model 21 deluxe field . . . and that was the mid 80s!!! hahahahahaha
By 1992 I had my first 16 - an Ithaca 37. That was many 16s ago!
Later fellas

Now you guys know why this forum is so genial.
Not many young bucks raring to get into a pi$$ing match, but gentlemen with a lifetime of experience. |

Darn, poll is closed. If open I'd be the long codger in the '70' group.
Ain't to old to climb the hills along the John Day southfork to harass the chukars. Just ordered a 28 guage DeHaan SxS SGr Delux in the CS pattern. Means I'll have to get closer to them, and hunt a few more years before one of my sons gets it. |

No anonimity here. I just celebrated my 27th anniversary of my 21st birthday last month. (48 for those of you who continue to celebrate all of the birthdays). |
