How many makers are there for 2 1/2" 16 ga cartridges? I have only come across RST and Gamebore searching online and they only show up at a couple of places. I found RST in 7/8 ounce which is what I prefer. I also saw it available down to size nine while the Gamebore I found only came in sizes six and seven. I want to shoot size eight. I'd like to get a case of something that I can reload after shooting. Of the available 2 1/2" cartridges do all use a star crimp and is loading data available? Lastly, the latest Reloading For Shotgunners there are a few loads using a 2 1/2" Fiocchi hull. Does Fiocchi make 2 1/2" cartridges or are those 2 3/4" hulls cut down?

At one time Fiochhi sold 2.5" 16's but they dropped out of the catalog several years back. |

With several current 2 1/2" cartridges/hulls on the market, it's a shame the 2005 5th edition of Reloading for Shotgunners only listed one hull and it is no longer in production.

If you join the 16 gauge low pressure group, you'll get all kinds of 2-1/2" loads. From 3/4 oz. to 1 oz. |
