A buddy of mine shot a tournament with 3 master sporting clays shooters. All shot one load (#8 handloads, no crushers, spreaders, etc) and each had Improved Modified and Full chokes in their guns without a single choke change for the entire round.

I found this surprising given the latest trend in the ragazines talking about the different specialty loads and choke selections on the course being as important as club selection in golf.

I usually don't have a choice. For example, I shot my 16ga SXS in a 100rnd tournament today and had fixed IC/M with 2 triggers for barrel selection. I thought I was at a disadvantage to the screw in choke guys. I usually shoot in the mid 70's. I obvioulsy have bigger issues than choke selection!
