Thought this game might amuse the waterfowlers here. The birds are male divers we used to shoot in the spring off the coast of Finland. The European Union has now almost stopped this old tradition, so the game is all that 's left.
The brown ones (eider hens, second from the top on the starting page) are not allowed, if you shoot one, you lose points. You aim with the mouse pointer, and shoot with the left mouse clicker. You get more points for longer shots. It's pretty realistic and fun, you have to keep ahead of the birds to get a kill. You have twenty shells to shoot.

Hry, that was a fun game.
And no, I will not admit my score. |

Fun and realistic. Glad I'm not paying for shells though. |

It's a good thing we don't have sea ducks in MI. |

Do they require Non-lead Mice in Finland? |

The game is in swedish, and the ducks are, from top to bottom:
Guding = Eider, male
Åda = Eider, female
Alfågel = Long-tailed Duck
Vigg = Tufted Duck
The Tufted Duck is obviously also a male. As for the Long-tailed Duck, you really can't tell the difference between a male and a female, at least not before it's too late.
Don't know if all these are found in North America. We (who live in certain areas at the coast) can still shoot some Long-tailed Ducks in the spring. It's really easier in real life, as in this game. |

We don't have the tuffted duck. We have common, spectacled and king eider.Black, white wing and surf scotter. They recently changed the name of our long tail ducks to long tail ducks. ( does that sound stupid) I grew up calling them Old squaw( because of the squawking noise they make, like indian women). I'm politically incorrect and still call 'em Old squaw I Like the gun in the game. |

The tufted duck resembles somewhat the goldeneye, except for that peculiar tuft in the neck. It tastes pretty strong, like all sea ducks.

My personal best is 45.9 but only after an hour of practice! Thanks Henrik.
When is your season for puddle ducks and what methods of hunting them do you use? |

We have a long season, from august 20 to the end of december. I hunt in the archipelago, small islands in the sea, so the only method that works is decoying. Too many places for the ducks to choose from to have any luck without decoys. |
