I recently picked up a 16 gauge parker trojan with 26" barrels(not cut) and a straight grip stock..good pointer...Could trojans be special ordered with straight stocks or is this a replacement or rework? Thanks for any feedback. Charlie |

Good question. These are a gun I'm always looking for and I do not own nor have ever seen one in straight stock. Somebody round here will know. |

Check on the Parker Gun Collectors Website. I have never seen one with a factory st. grip, but they may exist. |

The Parker Trojans came with a pistol grip stock. However, never say never with any older American SxS. Does it have a long trigger guard? You could remove the trigger guard and see if it's been welding on the back side. Also, while the guard is off, there should be a matching s/n stamped in the stock under the trigger guard. Is the checkering exactly the same as on the forearm? What kind of buttplate or rcoil pad is on the gun? Does the wood match the forearm? Hope these tips help.

There's only rule governing old doubles, that being the fact that there are no rules.. However, the gun is likely re-stocked, IMHO, and likely the opinion of most others, until you geta letter saying otherwise..MDC |
