Anyone loading B&P 16 gauge hulls? I am planning to try some 1 ounce in them when I get enought empties-bought a flat of the 1 1/16 shells. |

Hal--there was one(!) load listed for the B&P hulls on the 16ga. reloader site last time I looked--I stuffed a few (yellow hulls for a 16!) using the "supersonic" wads from Precision--not bad. Looking to load them down to 1136/1165 fps (old 2 2/1 dram eqv.). Can't tell about longevity yet.

I loaded a few awhile back--don't remember and can't find the recipe--Hull life was about average---crimps fell apart before the body started to split |

I don't have the recipe with me but I have started using a Brass crimp starter on B&P hulls. It crimps them better and they don't split like they did. |

Hey Hal-I take it you mean the Bandpusa shells advertised on the net.
How do they shoot out of the box? Seemed a bit soft at 1165fps....??
Are they really shipped free to your door for $63. a case? How's the service?
Thanks, Rizz16 |

rizzini 16-
Shells are great and service is as described. They will ship one flat or 20 flats for free! The 12 gauge shels you mention have very low recoil and no muzzle flip--so the 2nd barrel is right on target!
I think they will require the larger primer when reloading--but this primer is priced around here at $88.00 per 5,000.
Overall, I am quite pleased with B and P. They are serious about their plans for direct sales. |
