Hello, I am new to this forum, I am an antique guns collection , and I recently acquiered a Darne Shotgun Model 10 (16 ga., of course), wich is in great shape, except for two small and superficial cracks in the wood ( near the grip).
Does anyone know where can I find a new stock, even if I have to import it ?
Thanks on advance for any information. |

If things are in good shape other than the stated cracks, It is probably less hastle to have the stock repaired. If it's done right by a reputable guy, then that's better for the value of the gun than to replace the wood. I'm sure someone around here can give you a reference for stockwork.. |

I understand the can be quite difficult to restock, so a good repair would be the first choice.
When I got my little 128ga, I managed to track down the gentlemen who imported them back in the 70's, and one of the most important things he told be was to always make sure the stock bolts were very tight to lelp prevent cracking. |
