I have read that the AYA #2 16 Ga. shotgun is a copy of a Holland and Holland. Is this true, and does anyone have any info regarding the information/history of this shotgun? |

Effectively, as Terry Wieland states in "Spanish Best" and other publications. The King brothers, back in the fifties, convinced the AYA bosses to use the Holland and Holland sidelock and Westley Richards boxlock as models to penetrate the British market. This is the origin of the No. 1 and No. 2 sidelocks and the No. 4/53 and No. 4 Deluxe boxlocks. At some point they exported one third of their production to Britain. AYA still produces some of their historical pigeon models (No. 53 and No. 56), though their O/U´s have also foreign influence: German on their No. 37 and Augusta models and Boss pattern on their MD and Excelsior models.
The No.2 (in its standard form and in the Round Action variant) is today their best selling sidelock.EJSXS |

Go for it, it is nice combination. The Round Action variant is quite appealing for a walking gun. EJSXS |
