Gents,
Can't seem to find a search function here, so I don't know if anyone's done much handloading of slugs for the 16. BPI has some, but as a boolit caster,
I'd much prefer to make my own.
Has anyone tried the Lyman Foster 20ga slug in a shotcup in the 16?
At .605" it looks to me like it might be ideal. You'd end up with something
very similar I'm thinking to the Lee 12ga slug. I also gather that the hollow base pin on the mould can be adjusted to change the weight.
Cheers,

I've not seen any molds for a 16-gauge slug. Why not try a round ball in a shotcup? I use a .575" RB for 20 gauge and a .662" RB for the 12. For 16, hmm...

Dan,
Thanks for the tip, I've found that Lee do a .600 RB that'd prolly fit the criteria
very nicely. What do your .575 and .662 RB's weigh? Not sure I've got the math right, but I think a .600" RB should be on the order of ~ 1/2 oz. Might be able to load 2 of 'em at once, or have one at a pretty high velocity.
Cheers,
